Autumn and winter also offer good opportunities for observing and even photographing Iberian wolves in the wild.
About autumn and winter Iberian Wolf service
This year, for the first time, we will have an extremely experienced guide following the evolution and movements of several breeding groups of wolves throughout the season.
The main objective will be to have the option of continuing to observe them outside of the regular summer season.
However, we also open the door to photographing Iberian wolves in the wild outside of the breeding season and meeting points, with the right guides and small groups, maintaining the appropriate distances and with a great deal of patience.
For this objective, the use of telephoto lenses, binoculars, and a minimum level of physical training are essential, allowing us a certain flexibility to change our working locations.
The goal is to allow the wolves to approach our position without being aware of our presence, in the hope of being able to photograph them at reasonable distances.
Both options, observation and photography, will be available, with different service characteristics and work protocols.

Rates
The daily rate for the Iberian wolf observation service is the same as during the summer: €125 per person per day.
The cost of the Iberian wolf photography service is €160 per person per day and is limited to a maximum of four clients per day.
Equipment and advice
Equipment
For the observation activity, WildWatchingSpain will provide optical equipment to clients. For those who wish to bring their own, binoculars and spotting scopes are required at all times.
For photography, lenses around 500mm are ideal for this activity; 600mm and 800mm are equally suitable.
The use of tripods is required.
Camouflage cloth may be advisable.
It is essential in both cases to be well-dressed and prepared to wait in the bush for several hours.
Notes
For the photography service, our guide may recommend clients change the dates of their visit due to weather or animal movement.
