Sighting wild Iberian Wolves in Cantabrian mountains

WILDWATCHING SPAIN has been offering Iberian wolf watching trips in the wild since 2011. With a wide experience and a very capable technical team, we offer our clients the best chances of success at any time of the year.

Today, more than 20 natural history agencies and hundreds of private clients come here every year to enjoy their wolf observation. The Riaño Mountain has thus reached a high relevance in wildlife observation at a European level.

The Iberian wolf watching activity has always been special for us, as it was our very first activity, at the beginning of our company. We have demonstrated that it is possible to bring sustainable socio-economic development to these valleys, so punished by the demographic decline, without the need to deteriorate the natural environment.

The Riaño Mountains and Fuentes Carrionas Mountains are probably among the 6 best destinations in the world to observe wolves in the wild. It is an habitat occupied by several wolf packs, which make this area a unique place, where you can see these emblematic canids in beautiful and solitary high mountain corners.

From mid-July to the end of October you can book your full day trips, comprising two excursions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), with excellent chances to find and get to know these magnificent animals in depth.
