Photographic safaris in the deepest of nature in private estates, for the observation of IBERIAN LYNX and MEDITERRANEAN WILDLIFE was one of our priorities from the beginning of the activity.
However, it is not easy to combine this observation activity with the presence of photographic hides in the same geographical setting, and this led us to prioritise the hides activity.
But now, from this season onwards, we will have a farm of extraordinary natural value, NAVARREDONDA, which offers us the possibility of observing fauna and flora in a privileged natural environment and with absolute tranquillity. It is a dehesa with restricted and exclusive access to a large population of Iberian lynx on the northern slope of Sierra Morena, very close to PEÑALAJO.
This farm, in addition to the lynx, is an exceptional place for the observation of emblematic species of Mediterranean fauna, such as the Iberian imperial eagle, Iberian sandgrouse, little bustard, little owl, nightjar, European roller, Crested lark, calandra lark, black wheatear, black-winged wheatear, eastern Orphan warbler, Sardinian warbler, spectacled warbler, Iberian magpie, and many others.
For the birdwatching activity on this farm, we carry out real safaris, traveling at low speed along the tracks of our reserve, stopping at different observation points.
Our aim is to offer an extremely careful experience, with guides who will immerse us in nature, and at the same time show us the hidden treasures of Sierra Morena, tell us about the ecology of the Iberian lynx and the characteristics of the Mediterranean ecosystem. We will enter an area with hardly any human presence, and discover from the hand of our guides some legendary places that have preserved their natural wealth over the centuries.
The clients will be provided with the appropriate optical equipment at all times, as well as water, cold drinks and snacks in the vehicles, giving them the opportunity to complement the experience with a picnic lunch with local products and other premium services.
It is also a perfect activity to instill in children an interest in nature and the need to conserve it.
The price of the daily service including 8 hours of activity is 150€/person for a minimum of 2 people. Children under the age of 14 get a 50% discount.
The price includes cold drinks and snacks in the vehicle.
NAVARREDONDA will have two wildlife observation hides, which are available to customers during the working day at no extra cost.
In addition, a picnic service can be hired in the field, which includes Iberian ham, pure sheep’s cheese, gazpacho or salmorejo, Spanish omelette, wine, water or soft drinks and dessert.

The lynxes are more easily spotted during the colder months, from November to May, although they are present throughout the season.
In September and October you can enjoy the rutting of the deer, as the estate has a stupendous population of these ungulates.
This area is also a veritable orchard for birds, and the spring months are especially memorable for birdwatchers.

PEÑALAJO is located next to the Autovia del Sur A4, between the towns of Santa Cruz de Mudela and Almuradiel, 15 minutes from Valdepeñas.
